CVE-2026-31635 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-27 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rxrpc: fix oversized RESPONSE authenticator length check rxgk_verify_response() decodes auth_len from the packet and is supposed to verify that it fits in the remaining bytes. The existing check is inverted, so oversized RESPONSE authenticators are accepted and passed to rxgk_decrypt_skb(), which can later reach skb_to_sgvec() with an impossible length and hit BUG_ON(len). Decoded from the original latest-net reproduction logs with scripts/decode_stacktrace.sh: RIP: __skb_to_sgvec() [net/core/skbuff.c:5285 (discriminator 1)] Call Trace: skb_to_sgvec() [net/core/skbuff.c:5305] rxgk_decrypt_skb() [net/rxrpc/rxgk_common.h:81] rxgk_verify_response() [net/rxrpc/rxgk.c:1268] rxrpc_process_connection() [net/rxrpc/conn_event.c:266 net/rxrpc/conn_event.c:364 net/rxrpc/conn_event.c:386] process_one_work() [kernel/workqueue.c:3281] worker_thread() [kernel/workqueue.c:3353 kernel/workqueue.c:3440] kthread() [kernel/kthread.c:436] ret_from_fork() [arch/x86/kernel/process.c:164] Reject authenticator lengths that exceed the remaining packet payload.
CVE-2026-31393 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-27 8.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: Validate L2CAP_INFO_RSP payload length before access l2cap_information_rsp() checks that cmd_len covers the fixed l2cap_info_rsp header (type + result, 4 bytes) but then reads rsp->data without verifying that the payload is present: - L2CAP_IT_FEAT_MASK calls get_unaligned_le32(rsp->data), which reads 4 bytes past the header (needs cmd_len >= 8). - L2CAP_IT_FIXED_CHAN reads rsp->data[0], 1 byte past the header (needs cmd_len >= 5). A truncated L2CAP_INFO_RSP with result == L2CAP_IR_SUCCESS triggers an out-of-bounds read of adjacent skb data. Guard each data access with the required payload length check. If the payload is too short, skip the read and let the state machine complete with safe defaults (feat_mask and remote_fixed_chan remain zero from kzalloc), so the info timer cleanup and l2cap_conn_start() still run and the connection is not stalled.
CVE-2026-23397 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-24 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfnetlink_osf: validate individual option lengths in fingerprints nfnl_osf_add_callback() validates opt_num bounds and string NUL-termination but does not check individual option length fields. A zero-length option causes nf_osf_match_one() to enter the option matching loop even when foptsize sums to zero, which matches packets with no TCP options where ctx->optp is NULL: Oops: general protection fault KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000000-0x0000000000000007] RIP: 0010:nf_osf_match_one (net/netfilter/nfnetlink_osf.c:98) Call Trace: nf_osf_match (net/netfilter/nfnetlink_osf.c:227) xt_osf_match_packet (net/netfilter/xt_osf.c:32) ipt_do_table (net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.c:293) nf_hook_slow (net/netfilter/core.c:623) ip_local_deliver (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:262) ip_rcv (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:573) Additionally, an MSS option (kind=2) with length < 4 causes out-of-bounds reads when nf_osf_match_one() unconditionally accesses optp[2] and optp[3] for MSS value extraction. While RFC 9293 section 3.2 specifies that the MSS option is always exactly 4 bytes (Kind=2, Length=4), the check uses "< 4" rather than "!= 4" because lengths greater than 4 do not cause memory safety issues -- the buffer is guaranteed to be at least foptsize bytes by the ctx->optsize == foptsize check. Reject fingerprints where any option has zero length, or where an MSS option has length less than 4, at add time rather than trusting these values in the packet matching hot path.
CVE-2009-0692 2 Isc, Redhat 3 Dhcp, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-04-23 N/A
Stack-based buffer overflow in the script_write_params method in client/dhclient.c in ISC DHCP dhclient 4.1 before 4.1.0p1, 4.0 before 4.0.1p1, 3.1 before 3.1.2p1, 3.0, and 2.0 allows remote DHCP servers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted subnet-mask option.
CVE-2009-0847 1 Mit 1 Kerberos 2026-04-23 N/A
The asn1buf_imbed function in the ASN.1 decoder in MIT Kerberos 5 (aka krb5) 1.6.3, when PK-INIT is used, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted length value that triggers an erroneous malloc call, related to incorrect calculations with pointer arithmetic.
CVE-2009-2406 2 Linux, Redhat 4 Kernel, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-04-23 N/A
Stack-based buffer overflow in the parse_tag_11_packet function in fs/ecryptfs/keystore.c in the eCryptfs subsystem in the Linux kernel before 2.6.30.4 allows local users to cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly gain privileges via vectors involving a crafted eCryptfs file, related to not ensuring that the key signature length in a Tag 11 packet is compatible with the key signature buffer size.
CVE-2009-2407 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-04-23 N/A
Heap-based buffer overflow in the parse_tag_3_packet function in fs/ecryptfs/keystore.c in the eCryptfs subsystem in the Linux kernel before 2.6.30.4 allows local users to cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly gain privileges via vectors involving a crafted eCryptfs file, related to a large encrypted key size in a Tag 3 packet.
CVE-2026-33555 1 Haproxy 1 Haproxy 2026-04-22 4 Medium
An issue was discovered in HAProxy before 3.3.6. The HTTP/3 parser does not check that the received body length matches a previously announced content-length when the stream is closed via a frame with an empty payload. This can cause desynchronization issues with the backend server and could be used for request smuggling. The earliest affected version is 2.6.
CVE-2025-8291 1 Python 1 Cpython 2026-04-22 4.3 Medium
The 'zipfile' module would not check the validity of the ZIP64 End of Central Directory (EOCD) Locator record offset value would not be used to locate the ZIP64 EOCD record, instead the ZIP64 EOCD record would be assumed to be the previous record in the ZIP archive. This could be abused to create ZIP archives that are handled differently by the 'zipfile' module compared to other ZIP implementations. Remediation maintains this behavior, but checks that the offset specified in the ZIP64 EOCD Locator record matches the expected value.
CVE-2026-40333 1 Gphoto 1 Libgphoto2 2026-04-22 6.1 Medium
libgphoto2 is a camera access and control library. In versions up to and including 2.5.33, two functions in camlibs/ptp2/ptp-pack.c accept a data pointer but no length parameter, performing unbounded reads. Their callers in ptp_unpack_EOS_events() have xsize available but never pass it, leaving both functions unable to validate reads against the actual buffer boundary. Commit 1817ecead20c2aafa7549dac9619fe38f47b2f53 patches the issue.
CVE-2026-41035 1 Samba 1 Rsync 2026-04-22 7.4 High
In rsync 3.0.1 through 3.4.1, receive_xattr relies on an untrusted length value during a qsort call, leading to a receiver use-after-free. The victim must run rsync with -X (aka --xattrs). On Linux, many (but not all) common configurations are vulnerable. Non-Linux platforms are more widely vulnerable.
CVE-2014-0160 13 Broadcom, Canonical, Debian and 10 more 37 Symantec Messaging Gateway, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 34 more 2026-04-21 7.5 High
The (1) TLS and (2) DTLS implementations in OpenSSL 1.0.1 before 1.0.1g do not properly handle Heartbeat Extension packets, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information from process memory via crafted packets that trigger a buffer over-read, as demonstrated by reading private keys, related to d1_both.c and t1_lib.c, aka the Heartbleed bug.
CVE-2026-40199 1 Stigtsp 2 Net::cidr::lite, Net\ 2026-04-21 6.5 Medium
Net::CIDR::Lite versions before 0.23 for Perl mishandles IPv4 mapped IPv6 addresses, which may allow IP ACL bypass. _pack_ipv6() includes the sentinel byte from _pack_ipv4() when building the packed representation of IPv4 mapped addresses like ::ffff:192.168.1.1. This produces an 18 byte value instead of 17 bytes, misaligning the IPv4 part of the address. The wrong length causes incorrect results in mask operations (bitwise AND truncates to the shorter operand) and in find() / bin_find() which use Perl string comparison (lt/gt). This can cause find() to incorrectly match or miss addresses. Example: my $cidr = Net::CIDR::Lite->new("::ffff:192.168.1.0/120"); $cidr->find("::ffff:192.168.2.0"); # incorrectly returns true This is triggered by valid RFC 4291 IPv4 mapped addresses (::ffff:x.x.x.x). See also CVE-2026-40198, a related issue in the same function affecting malformed IPv6 addresses.
CVE-2025-66168 1 Apache 3 Activemq, Activemq All Module, Activemq Mqtt Module 2026-04-20 5.4 Medium
WARNING: Users of 6.x should upgrade to 6.2.4 or later as the fix was missed in previous 6.x releases. See the  following for more details: https://activemq.apache.org/security-advisories.data/CVE-2026-40046-announcement.txt https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-40046 Original Report: Apache ActiveMQ does not properly validate the remaining length field which may lead to an overflow during the decoding of malformed packets. When this integer overflow occurs, ActiveMQ may incorrectly compute the total Remaining Length and subsequently misinterpret the payload as multiple MQTT control packets which makes the broker susceptible to unexpected behavior when interacting with non-compliant clients. This behavior violates the MQTT v3.1.1 specification, which restricts Remaining Length to a maximum of 4 bytes. The scenario occurs on established connections after the authentication process. Brokers that are not enabling mqtt transport connectors are not impacted. This issue affects Apache ActiveMQ: before 5.19.2, 6.0.0 to 6.1.8, and 6.2.0 Users are recommended to upgrade to version 5.19.2, 6.1.9, or 6.2.1, which fixes the issue.

CVE-2026-25941 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-04-17 4.3 Medium
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Versions on the 2.x branch prior to to 2.11.8 and on the 3.x branch prior to 3.23.0 have an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the FreeRDP client's RDPGFX channel that allows a malicious RDP server to read uninitialized heap memory by sending a crafted WIRE_TO_SURFACE_2 PDU with a `bitmapDataLength` value larger than the actual data in the packet. This can lead to information disclosure or client crashes when a user connects to a malicious server. Versions 2.11.8 and 3.23.0 fix the issue.
CVE-2026-25571 1 Siemens 1 Sicam Siapp Sdk 2026-04-17 5.1 Medium
A vulnerability has been identified in SICAM SIAPP SDK (All versions < V2.1.7). The SICAM SIAPP SDK client component does not enforce maximum length checks on certain variables before use. This could allow an attacker to send an oversized input that could trigger a stack overflow crashing the process and potentially causing denial of service.
