In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/tcp: Fix socket memory leak in TCP-AO failure handling for IPv6 When tcp_ao_copy_all_matching() fails in tcp_v6_syn_recv_sock() it just exits the function. They make sure the newsk will end up being correctly free'd. tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock() makes this very clear by having the put_and_exit label that takes care of things. So, this patch here makes sure tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock and tcp_v6_syn_recv_sock have similar error-handling and thus fixes the leak for TCP-AO.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: i2c/tw9903: Fix potential memory leak in tw9903_probe() In one of the error paths in tw9903_probe(), the memory allocated in v4l2_ctrl_handler_init() and v4l2_ctrl_new_std() is not freed. Fix that by calling v4l2_ctrl_handler_free() on the handler in that error path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: sysfs: fix chip removal with GPIOs exported over sysfs Currently if we export a GPIO over sysfs and unbind the parent GPIO controller, the exported attribute will remain under /sys/class/gpio because once we remove the parent device, we can no longer associate the descriptor with it in gpiod_unexport() and never drop the final reference. Rework the teardown code: provide an unlocked variant of gpiod_unexport() and remove all exported GPIOs with the sysfs_lock taken before unregistering the parent device itself. This is done to prevent any new exports happening before we unregister the device completely.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: airoha: Fix memory leak in airoha_qdma_rx_process() If an error occurs on the subsequents buffers belonging to the non-linear part of the skb (e.g. due to an error in the payload length reported by the NIC or if we consumed all the available fragments for the skb), the page_pool fragment will not be linked to the skb so it will not return to the pool in the airoha_qdma_rx_process() error path. Fix the memory leak partially reverting commit 'd6d2b0e1538d ("net: airoha: Fix page recycling in airoha_qdma_rx_process()")' and always running page_pool_put_full_page routine in the airoha_qdma_rx_process() error path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: Fix memory leak of BO array in hang state The hang state's BO array is allocated separately with kzalloc() in vc4_save_hang_state() but never freed in vc4_free_hang_state(). Add the missing kfree() for the BO array before freeing the hang state struct.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc: ti: k3-socinfo: Fix regmap leak on probe failure The mmio regmap allocated during probe is never freed. Switch to using the device managed allocator so that the regmap is released on probe failures (e.g. probe deferral) and on driver unbind.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xprtrdma: Decrement re_receiving on the early exit paths In the event that rpcrdma_post_recvs() fails to create a work request (due to memory allocation failure, say) or otherwise exits early, we should decrement ep->re_receiving before returning. Otherwise we will hang in rpcrdma_xprt_drain() as re_receiving will never reach zero and the completion will never be triggered. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: unshare: fix unshare_fs() handling There's an unpleasant corner case in unshare(2), when we have a CLONE_NEWNS in flags and current->fs hadn't been shared at all; in that case copy_mnt_ns() gets passed current->fs instead of a private copy, which causes interesting warts in proof of correctness] > I guess if private means fs->users == 1, the condition could still be true. Unfortunately, it's worse than just a convoluted proof of correctness. Consider the case when we have CLONE_NEWCGROUP in addition to CLONE_NEWNS (and current->fs->users == 1). We pass current->fs to copy_mnt_ns(), all right. Suppose it succeeds and flips current->fs->{pwd,root} to corresponding locations in the new namespace. Now we proceed to copy_cgroup_ns(), which fails (e.g. with -ENOMEM). We call put_mnt_ns() on the namespace created by copy_mnt_ns(), it's destroyed and its mount tree is dissolved, but... current->fs->root and current->fs->pwd are both left pointing to now detached mounts. They are pinning those, so it's not a UAF, but it leaves the calling process with unshare(2) failing with -ENOMEM _and_ leaving it with pwd and root on detached isolated mounts. The last part is clearly a bug. There is other fun related to that mess (races with pivot_root(), including the one between pivot_root() and fork(), of all things), but this one is easy to isolate and fix - treat CLONE_NEWNS as "allocate a new fs_struct even if it hadn't been shared in the first place". Sure, we could go for something like "if both CLONE_NEWNS *and* one of the things that might end up failing after copy_mnt_ns() call in create_new_namespaces() are set, force allocation of new fs_struct", but let's keep it simple - the cost of copy_fs_struct() is trivial. Another benefit is that copy_mnt_ns() with CLONE_NEWNS *always* gets a freshly allocated fs_struct, yet to be attached to anything. That seriously simplifies the analysis... FWIW, that bug had been there since the introduction of unshare(2) ;-/

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_queue: fix entry leak in bridge verdict error path nfqnl_recv_verdict() calls find_dequeue_entry() to remove the queue entry from the queue data structures, taking ownership of the entry. For PF_BRIDGE packets, it then calls nfqa_parse_bridge() to parse VLAN attributes. If nfqa_parse_bridge() returns an error (e.g. NFQA_VLAN present but NFQA_VLAN_TCI missing), the function returns immediately without freeing the dequeued entry or its sk_buff. This leaks the nf_queue_entry, its associated sk_buff, and all held references (net_device refcounts, struct net refcount). Repeated triggering exhausts kernel memory. Fix this by dropping the entry via nfqnl_reinject() with NF_DROP verdict on the error path, consistent with other error handling in this file.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm: remove fake timeout to avoid leak request Since commit 15f73f5b3e59 ("blk-mq: move failure injection out of blk_mq_complete_request"), drivers are responsible for calling blk_should_fake_timeout() at appropriate code paths and opportunities. However, the dm driver does not implement its own timeout handler and relies on the timeout handling of its slave devices. If an io-timeout-fail error is injected to a dm device, the request will be leaked and never completed, causing tasks to hang indefinitely. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: Fix cred ref leak in nfsd_nl_listener_set_doit(). nfsd_nl_listener_set_doit() uses get_current_cred() without put_cred(). As we can see from other callers, svc_xprt_create_from_sa() does not require the extra refcount. nfsd_nl_listener_set_doit() is always in the process context, sendmsg(), and current->cred does not go away. Let's use current_cred() in nfsd_nl_listener_set_doit().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix memory leak on failure path cfg80211_inform_bss_frame() may return NULL on failure. In that case, the allocated buffer 'buf' is not freed and the function returns early, leading to potential memory leak. Fix this by ensuring that 'buf' is freed on both success and failure paths.
