CVE-2024-39508 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-03 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/io-wq: Use set_bit() and test_bit() at worker->flags Utilize set_bit() and test_bit() on worker->flags within io_uring/io-wq to address potential data races. The structure io_worker->flags may be accessed through various data paths, leading to concurrency issues. When KCSAN is enabled, it reveals data races occurring in io_worker_handle_work and io_wq_activate_free_worker functions. BUG: KCSAN: data-race in io_worker_handle_work / io_wq_activate_free_worker write to 0xffff8885c4246404 of 4 bytes by task 49071 on cpu 28: io_worker_handle_work (io_uring/io-wq.c:434 io_uring/io-wq.c:569) io_wq_worker (io_uring/io-wq.c:?) <snip> read to 0xffff8885c4246404 of 4 bytes by task 49024 on cpu 5: io_wq_activate_free_worker (io_uring/io-wq.c:? io_uring/io-wq.c:285) io_wq_enqueue (io_uring/io-wq.c:947) io_queue_iowq (io_uring/io_uring.c:524) io_req_task_submit (io_uring/io_uring.c:1511) io_handle_tw_list (io_uring/io_uring.c:1198) <snip> Line numbers against commit 18daea77cca6 ("Merge tag 'for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/virt/kvm/kvm"). These races involve writes and reads to the same memory location by different tasks running on different CPUs. To mitigate this, refactor the code to use atomic operations such as set_bit(), test_bit(), and clear_bit() instead of basic "and" and "or" operations. This ensures thread-safe manipulation of worker flags. Also, move `create_index` to avoid holes in the structure.
CVE-2015-1379 1 Dest-unreach 1 Socat 2025-04-20 N/A
The signal handler implementations in socat before 1.7.3.0 and 2.0.0-b8 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (process freeze or crash).
CVE-2015-7496 3 Fedoraproject, Gnome, Redhat 3 Fedora, Gnome Display Manager, Enterprise Linux 2025-04-12 N/A
GNOME Display Manager (gdm) before 3.18.2 allows physically proximate attackers to bypass the lock screen by holding the Escape key.
CVE-2023-1285 1 Mitsubishielectric 2 Gc-enet-com, Gc-enet-com Firmware 2025-02-06 7.5 High
Signal Handler Race Condition vulnerability in Mitsubishi Electric India GC-ENET-COM whose first 2 digits of 11-digit serial number of unit are "16" allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial-of-service (DoS) condition in Ethernet communication by sending a large number of specially crafted packets to any UDP port when GC-ENET-COM is configured as a Modbus TCP Server. The communication resumes only when the power of the main unit is turned off and on or when the GC-ENET-COM is hot-swapped from the main unit.
CVE-2024-7589 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2024-11-21 8.1 High
A signal handler in sshd(8) may call a logging function that is not async-signal-safe. The signal handler is invoked when a client does not authenticate within the LoginGraceTime seconds (120 by default). This signal handler executes in the context of the sshd(8)'s privileged code, which is not sandboxed and runs with full root privileges. This issue is another instance of the problem in CVE-2024-6387 addressed by FreeBSD-SA-24:04.openssh. The faulty code in this case is from the integration of blacklistd in OpenSSH in FreeBSD. As a result of calling functions that are not async-signal-safe in the privileged sshd(8) context, a race condition exists that a determined attacker may be able to exploit to allow an unauthenticated remote code execution as root.
CVE-2020-14317 1 Redhat 2 Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Wildfly 2024-11-21 5.5 Medium
It was found that the issue for security flaw CVE-2019-3805 appeared again in a further version of JBoss Enterprise Application Platform - Continuous Delivery (EAP-CD) introducing regression. An attacker could exploit this by modifying the PID file in /var/run/jboss-eap/ allowing the init.d script to terminate any process as root.
CVE-2019-3805 1 Redhat 6 Jboss Data Grid, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform Cd and 3 more 2024-11-21 4.7 Medium
A flaw was discovered in wildfly versions up to 16.0.0.Final that would allow local users who are able to execute init.d script to terminate arbitrary processes on the system. An attacker could exploit this by modifying the PID file in /var/run/jboss-eap/ allowing the init.d script to terminate any process as root.
CVE-2019-12448 2 Gnome, Redhat 2 Gvfs, Enterprise Linux 2024-11-21 N/A
An issue was discovered in GNOME gvfs 1.29.4 through 1.41.2. daemon/gvfsbackendadmin.c has race conditions because the admin backend doesn't implement query_info_on_read/write.
