CVSS v3.1 |
| The application does not validate the presence of required appearance (AP) data before accessing stamp annotation resources. When a PDF contains a stamp annotation missing its AP entry, the code continues to dereference the associated object without a prior null or validity check, which allows a crafted document to trigger a null pointer dereference and crash the application, resulting in denial of service. |
| In systemd 260 before 261, a local unprivileged user can trigger an assert via an IPC API call with an array or map that has a null element. |
| A flaw was found in libsoup. SoupContentSniffer may be vulnerable to a NULL pointer dereference in the sniff_mp4 function. The HTTP server may cause the libsoup client to crash. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sctp: avoid NULL dereference when chunk data buffer is missing
chunk->skb pointer is dereferenced in the if-block where it's supposed
to be NULL only.
chunk->skb can only be NULL if chunk->head_skb is not. Check for frag_list
instead and do it just before replacing chunk->skb. We're sure that
otherwise chunk->skb is non-NULL because of outer if() condition. |
| A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Khronos Group glslang 15.1.0. Affected by this issue is the function glslang::TIntermediate::isConversionAllowed of the file glslang/MachineIndependent/Intermediate.cpp. The manipulation leads to null pointer dereference. The attack needs to be approached locally. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. |
| NVIDIA Display Driver for Linux contains a vulnerability in a kernel module, where an attacker might be able to trigger a null pointer deference. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. |
| NVIDIA Display Driver for Linux contains a vulnerability where an attacker might be able to trigger a null pointer dereference. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. |
| Verifying a certificate chain which contains a certificate with an unknown public key algorithm will cause Certificate.Verify to panic. This affects all crypto/tls clients, and servers that set Config.ClientAuth to VerifyClientCertIfGiven or RequireAndVerifyClientCert. The default behavior is for TLS servers to not verify client certificates. |
| glib-networking's OpenSSL backend fails to properly check the return value of memory allocation routines. An out of memory condition could potentially result in writing to an invalid memory location. |
| simple-dhcp-server through ec976d2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon crash) by sending a DHCP packet without any option fields, which causes free_packet in dhcp_packet.c to dereference a NULL pointer. |
| Null pointer exception vulnerabilities were reported in the fingerprint sensor service that could allow a local attacker to cause a denial of service. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in JT2Go (All versions < V2312.0004), Parasolid V35.1 (All versions < V35.1.254), Parasolid V36.0 (All versions < V36.0.207), Parasolid V36.1 (All versions < V36.1.147), Teamcenter Visualization V14.2 (All versions < V14.2.0.12), Teamcenter Visualization V14.3 (All versions < V14.3.0.9), Teamcenter Visualization V2312 (All versions < V2312.0004). The affected applications contain a null pointer dereference vulnerability while parsing specially crafted X_T files. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to crash the application causing denial of service condition. |
| Cesanta Mongoose commit b316989 was discovered to contain a NULL pointer dereference via the scpy function at src/fmt.c. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted MQTT packet. |
| DISPUTE NOTE: this issue does not pose a security risk as it (according to analysis by the original software developer, NLnet Labs) falls within the expected functionality and security controls of the application. Red Hat has made a claim that there is a security risk within Red Hat products. NLnet Labs has no further information about the claim, and suggests that affected Red Hat customers refer to available Red Hat documentation or support channels. ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in the ub_ctx_set_fwd function in Unbound. This issue could allow an attacker who can invoke specific sequences of API calls to cause a segmentation fault. When certain API functions such as ub_ctx_set_fwd and ub_ctx_resolvconf are called in a particular order, the program attempts to read from a NULL pointer, leading to a crash. This issue can result in a denial of service by causing the application to terminate unexpectedly. |
| A flaw was found in libsoup, where soup_auth_digest_authenticate() is vulnerable to a NULL pointer dereference. This issue may cause the libsoup client to crash. |
| A vulnerability in the DHCP version 4 (DHCPv4) server feature of Cisco IOS XR Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a crash of the dhcpd process, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.
This vulnerability exists because certain DHCPv4 messages are improperly validated when they are processed by an affected device. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malformed DHCPv4 message to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a crash of the dhcpd process. While the dhcpd process is restarting, which may take approximately two minutes, DHCPv4 server services are unavailable on the affected device. This could temporarily prevent network access to clients that join the network during that time period and rely on the DHCPv4 server of the affected device.
Notes:
Only the dhcpd process crashes and eventually restarts automatically. The router does not reload.
This vulnerability only applies to DHCPv4. DHCP version 6 (DHCPv6) is not affected. |
| NULL pointer dereference in the MMS Client in MZ Automation LibIEC1850 before commit 7afa40390b26ad1f4cf93deaa0052fe7e357ef33 allows a malicious server to Cause a Denial-of-Service via the MMS InitiationResponse message. |
| A potential null pointer dereference vulnerability was reported in the Lenovo Power Management Driver that could allow a local authenticated user to cause a Windows blue screen error. |
| A null pointer dereference in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS software on PA-800 Series, PA-3200 Series, PA-5200 Series, and PA-7000 Series hardware platforms when Decryption policy is enabled allows an unauthenticated attacker to crash PAN-OS by sending specific traffic through the data plane, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. Repeated attempts to trigger this condition will result in PAN-OS entering maintenance mode.
Palo Alto Networks VM-Series, Cloud NGFW, and Prisma Access are not affected.
This issue only affects PA-800 Series, PA-3200 Series, PA-5200 Series, and PA-7000 Series running these specific versions of PAN-OS:

| A flaw was found in libsoup, where the soup_message_headers_get_content_disposition() function is vulnerable to a NULL pointer dereference. This flaw allows a malicious HTTP peer to crash a libsoup client or server that uses this function. |
