| Brave CMS is an open-source CMS. Prior to commit 6c56603, the contact form is publicly accessible (no authentication required). User-supplied message text is passed through PHP's nl2br() function, which converts newlines to <br> tags but does not escape HTML. The resulting string is then passed to a Blade email template using the unescaped {!! $msg !!} directive. The resulting content is then rendered in a Blade email template using the unescaped {!! $msg !!} directive. Because HTML is not sanitized, arbitrary markup can be injected into the email body. While modern HTML-capable email clients (Gmail or Outlook Web) typically block JavaScript execution, they still render HTML content. This allows attackers to craft convincing phishing interfaces inside the email sent to the administrator. This issue has been patched via commit 6c56603. |
| Stirling-PDF is a locally hosted web application that facilitates various operations on PDF files. In versions prior to 2.0.0, file upload endpoints render user-supplied filenames directly into HTML using unsafe methods like innerHTML without sanitization. An attacker can craft a file with a malicious filename containing JavaScript that executes in the uploading user's browser context, resulting in reflected XSS. The issue affects numerous upload endpoints across the application. The issue has been fixed in version 2.0.0. |
| The BJ Lazy Load plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the `filter_images()` function in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.9. This is due to the use of regex-based HTML processing (`preg_replace`) that does not properly handle HTML attribute boundaries when replacing `src` attributes, allowing crafted content inside a `class` attribute value to be promoted to real DOM attributes after processing. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. |
| Easy PayPal Events & Tickets plugin for WordPress before version 1.4 contains a hardcoded authentication bypass vulnerability in the QR code scanning functionality that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to bypass hash verification by supplying 'test' as the hash parameter. Attackers can access the vulnerable endpoint via the add_wpeevent_button_qr action to retrieve sensitive order details including PayPal transaction IDs, customer email addresses, purchase amounts, and ticket information for any order with a known or guessed post ID. |

| Open edX Platform enables the authoring and delivery of online learning at any scale. The HTML sanitizer clean_thread_html_body() used for discussion notification emails fails to remove <style> tags from user-generated discussion post content. This content is rendered with Django's |safe template filter in email notification templates, allowing any enrolled student to inject arbitrary CSS into email notifications sent to other users. This enables email tracking (IP address disclosure), content spoofing, and phishing attacks. This vulnerability is fixed with commit cddc25cd791bb78f76833896e4778f668861df12. |
| ip-address is a library for parsing and manipulating IPv4 and IPv6 addresses in JavaScript. Prior to 10.1.1, Address6.group() and Address6.link() do not HTML-escape attacker-controlled content before embedding it in the HTML strings they return, and AddressError.parseMessage (emitted by the Address6 constructor for invalid input) can contain unescaped attacker-controlled content in one branch. An application that (1) passes untrusted input to Address6 and (2) renders the output of these methods, or the thrown error's parseMessage, as HTML (e.g. via innerHTML) is vulnerable to cross-site scripting. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.1.1. |
| WWBN AVideo is an open source video platform. In versions up to and including 29.0, objects/notifySubscribers.json.php takes the raw message POST parameter and passes it into sendSiteEmail(), which substitutes it directly into an HTML email template (via str_replace on the {message} placeholder) and renders it with PHPMailer::msgHTML(). There is no HTML sanitization, character escaping, or output encoding on the attacker-controlled message between $_POST['message'] and the rendered email. Any authenticated user with upload permission can therefore broadcast arbitrary HTML — phishing links, tracking pixels, CSS/UI spoofing — to every subscriber on their channel (up to 10,000 recipients per invocation). The email is sent From: the platform's configured contact address and wrapped in the site's official logo and title, so attacker-supplied HTML arrives with the appearance of an official platform communication. Commit https://github.com/WWBN/AVideo/commit/ contains an updated fix. |

| Kyverno is a policy engine designed for cloud native platform engineering teams. Prior to 2.5.2, Vue 3's v-html directive is the framework-documented mechanism for injecting raw HTML, and it intentionally disables the auto-escaping that {{ }} interpolation provides. The PropertyCard.vue component uses v-html for the else branch of the URL check, meaning any non-URL string value flows directly into the DOM as HTML. The isURL() guard only filters values that parse as http: or https: URLs, so any HTML payload not starting with those schemes bypasses it entirely. The data originates from Kubernetes PolicyReport .results[].properties fields, which are arbitrary string maps populated by policy engines and potentially by any principal with write access to PolicyReport objects in the cluster. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.2. |
